 Abba Parrott is a Georgia native. She grew up training at Sharpsburg Dance Academy, and multiple other studios in the Metro Atl area. Abba had the privilege to train with Camp Broadway out of New York City and perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Abba was later able to be an intern for Camp Broadway for a brief time. After graduating, Abba spent time learning and training from many inspiring teachers in the Atlanta and Los Angeles area. Abba spent a summer training with LA based company, MusEffect. With them, she was able to perform at the Vans US Surf Open and was in the moving PSA, “Look At Me”, along side actress Monique Coleman, Mollee Gray and Rachel Melvin. Abba also had the pleasure of being in the pre-pro program with Gotta Dance Contemporary, which is now known as Admix. Abba is currently the owner and artistic director of Movement Dance Complex. Abba Parrott is a national award winning choreographer. She has taught and choreographed for studios nationwide and is a judge for multiple dance competitions. Abba recently has co-produced and co-choreographed her first full length professional contemporary show, Moments. Abba is the proud creator of Movement, The Workshop. A workshop designed to help dancers discover multiple aspects of the dance industry while focusing on their personal growth, confidence and individuality. Abba is the creative director for Movement, The Company, a professional, pre professional and apprentice program. Abba loves to help dancers develop their artistry and help them become storytellers through the art of dance.
